Surviving LA

You don’t live in LA… you survive it.

Labor Day weekend in LA was a terrible time to realize I forgot a cashier’s check—the one thing standing between me and my apartment in Downtown. Instead of moving in, I ended up in a random hotel with my girlfriend, my dog, and my cat, wondering how it went wrong that fast. Since then, it’s been straight survival mode—DoorDash runs through traffic, late-night design sessions, and learning the city from the ground up. Melrose during the day, Downtown at night, chasing something bigger while trying to stay afloat. At one point, I questioned everything. Then I met my favorite designer in real life, and it clicked—I wasn’t crazy, just early. Now I’m here, balancing school, building a brand, and figuring it out as I go. Still surviving LA. Still building. The grind didn’t start when I got here—it started when things didn’t go as planned.
